I obtained a Civil War pension file very quickly and it was a great experience. I would certainly use Gopher Records again.

I have had two Civil War pension orders with Bob at Gopher Records. On both of them there were some hiccups, and Bob went above and beyond the call of duty in getting the records for me. I highly recommend him and his excellent price.

This record is for the second of several brothers who served in the Civil War--a grand-uncle to me. Again, so many nuggets in the narrative. I'm writing a book about this family and it was great to get this entire file, reproduced cleanly so everything was legible, so quickly.

I ordered Civil War files. Before the files were retrieved from the Archive, I was contacted to clarify details because the name in the files was spelled differently than in the index I had. I was allowed to decide whether or not it was the same person before being charged. Once I gave the go-ahead, I was given an approximate delivery date.
