GOPHER RECORDS

I recently ordered the service and pension records for research I’m undertaking of a Civil War soldier, who along with son and grandson, owned and lived in the house that I grew up in. The records helped me answer some questions, including whether or not he fought at Antietam with his unit (NY 61st) … spoiler alert … he didn’t. And his pension records went into detail about how and where he got sick, why he didn’t fight in that battle and backed up some information that I previously found about his family. I was extremely happy with the service and speed of my Gopher Records order. I’ve ordered directly from NARA in the past, and the speed at which you get your orders from Gopher is night and day.
