I had never heard of Gopher Records until I read a post on the Adams County, Ohio Genealogy Researchers Facebook Group telling how Gopher Records helped find some very helpful pension records. Okay, I thought. I’ll give it a try. I filled out a request that very same day for the Civil War Pension file for my Second Great Grandfather Benjamin Truitt. Within a few days I received an email saying my file was ready to download.
Three characteristics about Gopher Records stand out for me. One, they are very personable in their email responses. Maybe this tells me they are a very small company doing good work. Two, they are fast. And, three I like the way Gopher Records have set up their payment where I don’t pay until the product (pension file) is ready to download.
