GOPHER RECORDS

A friend suggested I try Gopher Records to find military medical, discharge and pension records for my 2nd Great Grandfather who was in the Civil War. Setting up the request on the website was fast and easy. I thought the cost was a bit steep ($76) for the Civil War Soldier Bundle (medical, discharge, pension), but if they could provide that information, it would be worth it. Unfortunately, they could not find any medical or discharge papers, but were able to find widow pension records. Gopher Records sent me a link to the pension records (some I already had and some I did not have). They only charged me for the pension records ($40). I thought the service was fast, easy and worth it. Communication was excellent. I would definitely use them again.
