Deciding to order the Civil War Pension File, I went on the Natl Archives website to do so. I ran into difficulties filling out their form. With that difficulty, I went on Facebook Group Random Act of Genealogical Kindness and asked others if they had similar problems. Several suggested using Gopher Records to have them do the research. I did and I’m very pleased. I got the files in about 2 weeks (far faster than they estimated on Natl Archives website) and at $45 (far cheaper than Natl Archives website)!!! I am pleased!!!
