Several people in a Facebook genealogy group recommended Gopher Records for their ability to retrieve Civil War military service and pension records at a speed and price that was much better than that offered by NARA. I gave them a try and was not disappointed! Submitting my requests via their website was a breeze. I was also able to view the status of my requests on their website throughout the entire process. I received all the requested records in less than 2 weeks! Their customer service emailed a notification and the link to the records as soon as they fulfilled each request.
