GOPHER RECORDS

If you need records, we will gopher you.

Great job! Highly recommend if you need NARA D.C. records

Customer service is top-notch.

I will use these guys every single time I need NARA (National Archives) records for things like Civil War pensions or old Homesteading claims.

I highly recommended them. Thanks, Bob!

I was looking for old Homestead files from the 1930s – cash purchases from a time period past the “normal” era for these things, which I understand makes them harder to find/retrieve.

In my particular case, I was looking for two separate claims by the same ancestor (in the same general area). Neither of which were “regular” completed transactions.

I had originally asked for help from a different research company that I won’t name here, but that “other company” gave me the runaround for months, particularly for one of the two files that that other company couldn’t find. At all.

The “other guy” pressed me to order the ONE file he could find, assuming that the two files might have been combined somehow, without any proof of that being the case.

That “other guy” made me feel as if I were being one of those notorious “difficult customers,” asking for the impossible.

But when someone I know referred me to Gopher Records, all I had to do was request BOTH files, and presto, both files appeared in my email a week later. It was…magic.

Bob from Gopher Records sent a follow-up a few days after my initial request confirming that he understood my request, and he’d get back to me the next business day, as if I were on a strict time schedule.

I was just so glad someone understood my unusual request and felt like they had the expertise and knowledge necessary to pull BOTH files and send them to me.

I would have paid double what he charged to retrieve them. More than that, probably.

But don’t tell him that! Lol.

I’m just so happy that I am doing a little happy dance in my living room.

If you need recommendations, mine is…we should make efforts to spend our hard-earned dollars patronizing companies that take pride in their work – like this one!

Thanks Gopher Records. Thanks, Bob.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
