Gopher Records is a great service! The prices are reasonable and the response time is excellent. It was very easy to order, as well as to receive the scanned documents.
I had been waiting for months for the National Archives to fulfill a Mexican War pension file request. After seeing Gopher Records mentioned in the Vita Brevis blog (AmericanAncestors), I decided I had nothing to lose by contacting them. Bob answered my question about how to handle the fact that the record was already ordered with the National Archives. I ordered the pension from Gopher Records.
