I ordered the Civil War Soldier’s Bundle and results were promised within one month which seemed reasonable. I was thrilled when the package showed up in my inbox just four days later! I’m not sure the turnaround is always so good but even a month would be a pretty good deal. I made an error on my submission and contacted Gopher to let them know and they replied promptly and made the correction. If you’re hesitating to invest in the Civil War documents I would definitely encourage you to give it a try, the information was beyond valuable. I had no info on this ancestor, except a brief reference to his wife receiving a widow’s pension. Wow, what a story the documents revealed! Turns out my ancestor lied about his age to become a soldier and did so with a recruiter signing as his guardian. The recruiter then swindled him out of the $300 signing money. The documents also named his parents and place of residence (new info to me) and who became his children’s guardian after he eventually died of his war injuries (soon followed by his wife’s death). A gold mine of info is waiting for you and Gopher could not have been any easier to work with!
