Great service, great pricing
I recently used Gopher Records to retrieve military records for one of my ancestors that are held in NARA. NARA's timeline for retrieving and sending me the records was long and the cost was expensive. I read about Gopher Records being a quicker, less expensive alternative to retrieving NARA records so I gave them a try.
I completed their order form online and received a quick response from them. They were able to retrieve the records within two weeks and send them to me electronically. And, the cost was significantly less than going directly to [...]

Fast and helpful service on Homestead Records
I needed help with two sets of homestead records and thought I had provided an attachment that I managed to leave out, but this did not slow Bob down at all. He jumped out, looked up the information online that I thought I had attached, and sent back a note confirming that he had what I was looking for. The last time I ordered something directly from the National Archives it seems like it took several months. This took less than two weeks. I don't remember the exact time frame but it was very quick in the world of [...]

Gopher Records Continues to Shine
I have use Gopher Records multiple times with great success each time. The service is thorough, prompt, reasonable, and friendly. I have been able to use the information found in Civil War pension files to fill in gaps in my family's genealogy tree. Obtaining letters, copies of depositions, testimonials, etc. in your ancestor's own handwriting or signed by your ancestor is fascinating. I also help visitors to the Gettysburg National National Military Park research their Civil War ancestors or ancestors that served in other wars and conflicts. I ALWAYS recommend Gopher Records as a fantastic resource.

Roderick McCoy
Roderick McCoy was KIA during the Civil War. His pension obtained first by his mother Agnes (Douglas) McCoy, then by his father Rhodam McCoy after Agnes's death.
Gopher Records helped my client reclaim a history of these Free People of Color.
