Status codes

The following status codes reflect where your order is in the fulfillment process.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some of these status codes will not apply to your order. Codes that refer to NARA STL, for instance, are only relevant in cases where we have had a conversation with you and you have specifically approved our search for your records in NARA’s St. Louis facility.

Code Meaning
New We have not yet reviewed your order.
Waiting Customer We have written to you with a question and are waiting for your response. If you have not heard from us, please check your junk/spam folder(s) for an email from Outgoing@GopherRecords.com.
Ready for DC The preliminary research is done, indexes have been consulted, etc.,  and your order is ready to be processed at NARA in DC.
Written for Tomorrow The paperwork has been completed and we will submit it to NARA on the next business day.
Requested NARA DC We have requested your original records from NARA and processing is imminent.
Waiting Consultation NARA DC We are having trouble finding your records so we are in the process of consulting with NARA experts.
Held at NARA DC We have not yet received your original records or they have not yet been scanned. Processing is still imminent, though, so don’t panic.
Finished at DC The scanning is done. We are doing some post-processing of the PDF and generating the invoice.
Not DC/Ready for NARA STL We’ve had a conversation with you and the pension is in the queue for searching at NARA in St. Louis.
Requested NARA STL We have requested the original record from NARA in St. Louis and we are waiting to be told whether or not they have it.
Held at NARA STL The pension has been found at NARA in St. Louis and we are waiting for an appointment to scan it.
Not DC/STL; Requires FOIA We have been notified by NARA in St. Louis that they do not have the pension. We are preparing a “Freedom of Information Act” request for the Veterans Administration.
FOIA email/faxed A FOIA request has been sent and we are waiting for a response.
Invoiced Your records are complete and we have emailed an invoice to you. If you have not seen it, then please check your junk/spam folder(s) for an email from Service@PayPal.com.
Paid We have received your payment and we are preparing to send download instructions to you.
Delivered We have emailed download instructions to you. If you have not seen that email, then check your junk/spam folder(s) for an email from Outgoing@GopherRecords.com.
Closed Your order has been delivered and is effectively closed.
