After trying to get a document we needed from the National Archives in DC for almost two years, Gopher came to our rescue and we had a certified copy of it in our hands in four days. Although a bit out of their usual area (soldiers), Bob answered my desperate message via Facebook Messenger looking for someone who could help us acquire a certified copy of a 1912 ship's manifest that originally brought our relatives to the USA. Once I was told that he did, I paid for them, and in a matter of days, I had PDF files to download. One of them, was his pension record and his wife's request for his pension once he passed. I highly recommend the services of Gopher Records! The service is quick, the document is very clear and it is always a joy to be able to have such a goldmine of genealogical information received so fast! One of the documents I received was well worth the cost: it contained a transcription of the family bible that listed the 13 siblings of the soldier (the oldest being born in 1814). If I had been at NARA, I would have been expelled from the reading room. I could scream all I want in the comfort of my home when I opened [...]

I had no idea there was so much information in these files. I received over 100 pages of information, and almost every page had either info I couldn't find elsewhere, or postive proof of things I already suspected. Gopher Records was wonderful. Great service. They were thorough, and professional. They are almost half the cost, and much faster than ordering from the Nathional Archives. I am so pleased, I will definitely use them again!
