As with previous orders, the service is fast, and the copies of the documents are great. Unlike the official file copies that NARA provides, these are not black and white photocopies. Rather, they are pictures or scans of each document in the applicable file. In many cases front and back of the document. I much prefer to have these rather than the photocopies. In fact, I plan to order copies of some files that I already have NARA photocopies of, because I want the better quality copies.

I am quite pleased with Gopher Records. It took only two weeks to get my records. Plus, the price was very reasonable. I shall use them again.

I ordered Civil War files. Before the files were retrieved from the Archive, I was contacted to clarify details because the name in the files was spelled differently than in the index I had. I was allowed to decide whether or not it was the same person before being charged. Once I gave the go-ahead, I was given an approximate delivery date. To my delight, the file was available earlier and included good copies of all the documents requested!
