I am learning that the the past wars for this country affected not just a single soldier it affected entire families. I have been requesting not just my direct line soldiers but also the brothers, uncles, and all who served in each family. Thank you very much for this vital information. These men spelled their names four different ways and had to jump through a few hoops to verify their individual service. Because of this I have found the names of two siblings that I previously did not know and birthdates. Regrettably these siblings did not appear in the 1850/1860 census. Additionally I have the death date of their father as it appeared in their mothers pension request.
