I requested two separate pension records of United States Colored Troops through Gopherrecords. I was very surprised at how fast the turnaround time until receiving the files. Less than a week later the records were in my email. They helped to clear up many questions that remained from previous research. Gopherrecords is the quickest, cheapest and the most convenient way to obtain records that I have found to obtain the records that were required to complete research. A GREAT resource for any researcher.

Wonderful experience working with Gopher Records. While I waited 6 months for NARA to deliver a requested document package, Bob Velke of Gopher Records completed a document request for me in a week and a half. Not only that, but he was instrumental in breaking the log jam on my NARA request, otherwise I believe I would not have received it in 6 months and probably would still be waiting. His personal service was outstanding. I can’t imagine going through NARA in the future when a service like Gopher Records is available.

I'd heard of Gopher Records and was interested in trying it out. So I submitted a request for my great-great grandfather's Civil War records just to give the service a test. I already had a fair amount of information and just wanted to see what they might come up with. They came back with a treasure trove of previously unknown information about not only him but his through wife and family through the pension records. The process is quick and easy. Loved it and will definitely be using it again.
