I was shocked how quickly my ancestor’s Civil War pension file was retrieved and sent! 82 pages full of history about my ancestor that was filing (the father of a soldier). Affidavits from friends and family, his own accounting of his life, and then the sad fact that he was ultimately denied. I was super impressed with the speed the records were researched and then shared with me. Great digital copies of the records to read. Because of the work Bob did, I was able to confirm some family legends and have more information about my Civil War veteran ancestors. Oh my gosh! Gopher records is SO speedy, and VERY thorough. I ordered a civil war pension file and paid the standard price of $45. The file turned out to be over 300 pages. If I had ordered from NARA, it would have taken forever to receive it and it would have cost me over $220. I can’t recommend Gopher Records highly enough!

I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. The information in the files has filled in the stories of my several of family lines. It is easy to order and the service was quick. The quality of the scan was excellent.
