Gopher Records Continues to Shine
I have used Gopher Records multiple times and have been extremely satisfied each time. Gopher Records has been thorough and prompt in retrieving the contents of pension folders for my ancestors. As an added bonus, Gopher Records charges less than the National Archives for the same records Finally, I find Gopher Records to be very friendly and willing to answer any questions. My family history is more complete thanks to Gopher Records!

Fast turnaround. Great Copies.
Fast turnaround and great digital copies.
If you have ever visited the archives you will understand the tremendous service and great price.
If you visit It would be hard to spend less than $300 per night and an extra $50 for your car, plus your travel expenses. You will need to pay for a ride to and from or walk, not an easy task if you are carrying a computer, copier and any paperwork you have. It will take a while to learn the system.
How nice is this over the older system when you had to order from the archives itself [...]

Tremendous (and fast!) service!
I have worked with researchers and record pullers on numerous continents, but - as I rarely work with American/Civil War era records - I had not yet had a chance to use Gopher Records. When the occasion arrived, and I needed records related to a Civil War veteran, I was excited to have a chance to give Gopher Records a try. I was even more excited when 400+ pages of beautifully digitized color documents arrived in my inbox, in only a matter of days (and well before the estimate date they had given me). If you're thinking of placing [...]

Fast and accurate
I have ordered a few record out of the National Archive. Using this service was far and away a better experience. The service was faster than quoted and I got exactly the record I was looking for. I was pleasantly surprised when I wasn’t asked to pay while placing the initial order. I will be using your service for all of my future genealogy requests!

Highly Recommend
I continue to be impressed by the service I receive from Gopher Records. They have extremely fast turn around times, amazing image quality, and have even sent me records at no charge when they were already available somewhere else (that could have been a very easy $45 for them)! I look forward to using them again in the future.

Couldn’t Be Happier!
I have obtained CMSRs two ways...one through NARA and one through Gopher Records. From now on I will only use Gopher Records. They were professional, quick, and reasonably priced. The records were in color and organized. I couldn't be more thrilled! The folder I got from NARA was in B&W and incomplete (because it's so large). I'm now going to ask Gopher Records for that file so I can see it in its entirety. I own my business and know how important good reviews are. I'm happy to give them glowing remarks! Gray Stabley

How did I make it this far without GopherRecords?
I've been ordering information from NARA for decades. I'm used to waiting for months to find out whether they have anything beyond an index card, and then getting faded images that are next to impossible to read. I get it -- the clerks are just doing a job. They don't understand the passionate curiosity I have for the contents of those old records. And at least I didn't have to travel cross-country to the Archive, myself.
It was only a few weeks after I filed my most recent request that I learned about GopherRecords. [...]
