I ordered Civil War files. Before the files were retrieved from the Archive, I was contacted to clarify details because the name in the files was spelled differently than in the index I had. I was allowed to decide whether or not it was the same person before being charged. Once I gave the go-ahead, I was given an approximate delivery date. Gopher records is amazing! Astonishingly fast service, an easy on-line ordering system, reasonable pricing, and very attentive customer service. The Land Entry Case Files I ordered (probably) confirmed a theory I have, and opened up some new questions...as these documents often do. It was great getting the answers weeks (or months) before I would have received them from NARA. Highly recommended!
