I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. The information in the files has filled in the stories of my several of family lines. It is easy to order and the service was quick. The quality of the scan was excellent.

If you need Civil War Records quick for a project, This is the place you want to go. I used to do this kind of thing but I'm 71 and dont have the time or money for the Archives anymore. I used to get the military and pension records, Courts Martial records and other things from someone that lived in the National Archives area but his Military career took him elsewhere. I have used gopher records.com at least 4 times to get the Civil War records for ancestors. I am so pleased with their service; it is very fast and accurate. If I had to go through National Archives myself it would take much longer to get the records. You pay nothing until they find something.
