I've used Gopher a couple of times to get military related information on ancestors and been super satisfied. I’ve used GopherRecords to get Civil War pension records on 4 occasions. There is no charge until the records are ready to be viewed, and I have been able to download the documents within 5 days of placing the order.

I discovered Bob Voelke from a page on the National Archives website who was available for hire as a researcher (https://www.archives.gov/research/hire-help/locations?facility=washington-dc). I sent him an e-mail inquiry and he responded quickly. Once I ordered my requested record, I received it in short order.

When the records became available I was notified and the records were all copied and sent to me in a timely manner. I was again notified and was able to copy the records on my computer and make hard copies. Everything was done as discussed in the original contact. I was very pleased with how it was handled and what I received.
