Far faster and less hassle than dealing directly with NARA. Super quick, very responsive communication, all-around rare excellent experience. Any records I need in the future, I'm going with Gopher. Go for it!

I got the records for 2 of the 3 ancestors I requested records for within 10 days! (May have been less, I didn't keep track of time) That compared to the MONTHS I waited when I ordered from another company. I had some questions and Bob CALLED me on the phone, personally, to walk me through my questions!! Talk about Customer Service! I highly recommend Gopher Records!

I am forever grateful for Gopher Records! I had a request for my ggg grandfather’s pension records. I discovered an 1871 Census Record that had my ancestors Mother's name on it, listed was a man and a woman who I have always thought the woman was the sister of my Ancestor. I ordered her husbands Pension Record from the Civil War. In the records it says that her family's name is Ford, which is a possible confirmation that she is the sister of my ancestor even though it does not say that they are sisters. As my Ancestor her possible sister left Mississippi in 1883 and the Pension record was from 1891. My Ancestor also had a daughter by [...]

Three brothers, of our ancestor, fought in the Civil War. The records of all 3 were a treasure. One soldier died and his parent's applied for parent's pension. The records are full of info. that exists no where else! They shared so much about all of the family. The parent's life together (where they lived) is covered in so many documents and the records follow the rest of their lives. Their children and spouses signed documents that showed where they lived also. It is great to see the signatures of our ancestors [...]
