This special bundle includes the three most popular record types for a Union soldier in the Civil War:
Each of these products can be ordered separately but the bundle price is lower than the sum of its parts. Also, if the soldier served in more than one regiment, then the bundle includes ALL of his service records and medical records which is much less expensive than if you order them separately.
This bundle applies to Union soldiers in the Civil War only. Confederate records are not available at the National Archives. See this FAQ for more information.

Note that if we determine through the index that there are no surviving service records for the soldier, then we will notify you and the price of the bundle will be reduced accordingly. The same is true if neither the veteran nor his widow/dependents received a pension with respect to his service.
BUT there is no index to the Carded Medical Records so we will conduct a manual search of the collection for each soldier. We do not know in advance if any such records exist for the soldier. Be aware that you are paying for the search, not the results of the search. That is, the price of the bundle is the same regardless of how many medical records we find for your soldier – or even if we find none at all.
