You really can't beat the service - a complete set of Civil War records in 10 days for less than it would cost me to go to NARA and do it myself (and with far less hassle). I will use Gopher Records wherever possible.

I ordered a complete service record set for a survivor of Andersonville Prison and it arrived in half the time quoted AND with a reduction in fee due to NARA pulling the medical cards for digitization. A big surprise was a photo pasted to one of the applications and the file included a photo only image. All images clear and easy to read provide through a Dropbox link. I have ordered directly through the National Archives before and I definitely will not be going that route ever again (four month wait times, poor customer service, and ridiculously high prices considering staff is already on site). This is the second time I’ve used Gopher Records. Just like last time I will absolutely say this is a 5 star service. I received the records quickly and the quality of the document scans were great. This time I ordered the pension record of my 3rd great grandfather who fought at Shiloh and Corinth. In the record were several affidavits from him and men who served with him that described his experiences during the war. I am truly thankful for Gopher Records and that it allows me to uncover this information about my ancestor and his experiences.
