Civil War records
Being computer illiterate, I thought that all I had received was 4 records for my 3X great grandfather, 3 of which I had already found on my own. I was so disappointed! A couple of days later, I looked at the files sent to me, and discovered there was one I hadn't looked at yet. That file included 126 pages of records! Granted, a lot of it was repeated several times (I assume that's military effeciency), but I had new info and saw my ancestor's signature for the first time.
I intend to send for records [...]

Land Records
I requested homestead records and received them so fast I was shocked. They were very helpful and the price was amazing.
If you need any records I highly recommend using Gopher Record you won't be disappointed.
I plan on using them again for my dad's WWII records.

Great!
Wish I would’ve known about this sooner! Great service! Ordered three records but was only certain about two. Bob did research to help eliminate the one I was not certain about. Quicker response than indicated. Just ordered two additional records!

I wish I’d discovered Gopher Records sooner!
I found out about Gopher Records just after having gone through NARA (several years back) to pull another ancestor's CW pension records. I wish I had discovered GR sooner. I recently used GR for the first time this past June 2025. They provided incredible service at a very affordable price, and they completed their search for my 2nd GGF's pension records so fast it literally made my jaw drop! I was completely blown away! The prints were crisp and clear and did not disappoint. You are reading the review of one happy customer who will continue to be a [...]

Excellent and Invaluable!
I love the level of customer service, attention to detail and diligence that Gopher Records provides ... It was easy to file the request, and I was kept apprised of progress.
The records I received just blew my mind! Until I learned about Civil War pension records, I had no idea of the type of details they could provide. I also had NO idea how to manoeuvre my way around the archive system to order them.
Enter Gopher Records !! The service they provide is superior and added a depth of insight to ancestors on my family tree [...]

Order for service and pension records
I recently ordered the service and pension records for research I'm undertaking of a Civil War soldier, who along with son and grandson, owned and lived in the house that I grew up in. The records helped me answer some questions, including whether or not he fought at Antietam with his unit (NY 61st) ... spoiler alert ... he didn't. And his pension records went into detail about how and where he got sick, why he didn't fight in that battle and backed up some information that I previously found about his family. I was extremely happy with the [...]

I had such a great experience requesting records through Gopher Records. They were professional, quick, and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to gather Civil War pension records, service records, and medical cards.
I will definitely be using them again in the near future!

Prompt Service, Brilliant Images
In less than one week I received remarkably clear digital images of four Civil War pensions. One pension alone comprised 106 images and every page was perfect!
One document within the 106-page pension provided the key to my research problem: a letter from the Chester County, Pennsylvania, Coroner stating the results of his inquiry, which documented the early death of pensioner's first wife. A file for this coroner's report was not included with exisiting Chester County Coroner's records, nor were deaths recorded in Chester County in 1873.
This is the service we genealogists dream about!
