in one of my groups on facebook I had asked for suggestions/help on a so called brick wall on one of my ancestors who was in the Civil War- even though they couldnt find a lot of info, I was able to see the communications between his widow and the pension office- as a result found another Child that had died at the age of 10 in the same month and and year that she lost her husband- I now have a specific death date for her husband .

I've ordered numerous civil war pensions and always received prompt service with excellent images which were easy to download. Also kept me posted on one that was not available at NARA in D.C. and the next steps they will conduct in trying to locate it which I really appreciate. Have referred to others and will definitely be utilizing their services. again!!

I have ordered Bounty Land Applications from both NARA and now Gopher records. The difference in quality is astounding. The records recieved back from NARA are black and white scans of photo copies. The scans back from Gopher are high resolution and the true colors of the documents. I could not be more pleased! And the records are less expensive when ordered through Gopher AND the turnaround times are much faster. The process is literally better for the consumer in every aspect when using Gopher! Gopher records is amazing! Astonishingly fast service, an easy on-line ordering system, reasonable pricing, and very attentive customer service. The Land Entry Case Files I ordered (probably) confirmed a theory I have, and opened up some new questions...as these documents often do. It was great getting the answers weeks (or months) before I would have received them from NARA. Highly recommended!

I would like to recommend the use of Gopher Records for NARA retrieval. I used Bob to retrieve my civil war ancestor's medical cards. I've used Gopher Records twice and it's so much better than the NARA. There's wonderful communication, Records retrieval is a few weeks instead of months, and the cost is reasonable. I request a digital copy and the pdf file is complete and readable.

I placed a rather large order for Pension & CMSR files that consisted of (5) brothers serving in the Civil War and I probably complicated the order as one of the brothers had (5) different service records. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and product that Bob & Gopher Records delivered to me!
