This record is for the second of several brothers who served in the Civil War--a grand-uncle to me. Again, so many nuggets in the narrative. I'm writing a book about this family and it was great to get this entire file, reproduced cleanly so everything was legible, so quickly.

The resulting scanned document was marvelous. Even though one of our files wasn't available (NARA misplaced), we could not be more pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend Gopher Records for anyone conducting genealogy research into military records. My area of interest is Union Army personnel who served during the Civil War. Using pension card information, Gopher has found all of the soldier data I requested and in far less time than if I submitted a request directly to the National Archives. The service fee is quite reasonable and worth every penny when you need answers in a timely fashion. The file arrived 3 weeks earlier and consisted of a high quality color pdf. The price was less than I would've paid through the National Archives and arrived far sooner.
