I requested the pension records for my 2nd Great Grandfather and they retrieved them and sent them within a week. The cost was reasonable as I would have spent more attempting to retrieve them myself. I highly recommend Gopher.

I have use Gopher Records multiple times with great success each time. The service is thorough, prompt, reasonable, and friendly. I have been able to use the information found in Civil War pension files to fill in gaps in my family's genealogy tree. Obtaining letters, copies of depositions, testimonials, etc. in your ancestor's own handwriting or signed by your ancestor is fascinating. I also help visitors to the Gettysburg National National Military Park research their Civil War ancestors or ancestors that served in other wars and conflicts. I heard about Gopher on a Civil War Facebook page I’m a member in, and didn’t have high expectations for affordability OR quick turnaround.
