On the recommendation of another customer, we ordered War of 1812 bounty application files. The order was completed ahead of estimated delivery. Communication throughout was excellent. The resulting scanned document was marvelous. Even though one of our files wasn't available (NARA misplaced), we could not be more pleased with the outcome. Having used the original records at NARA, we know how challenging it can be and appreciate the overall professional service.

The Civil War records I asked for were promised for delivery in a very reasonable timeframe - but they arrived much sooner than that. The records are complete and are very clear. I will most likely research other family members using Gopher.

I highly recommend Gopher Records for anyone conducting genealogy research into military records. My area of interest is Union Army personnel who served during the Civil War. Using pension card information, Gopher has found all of the soldier data I requested and in far less time than if I submitted a request directly to the National Archives. The service fee is quite reasonable and worth every penny when you need answers in a timely fashion. The file arrived 3 weeks earlier and consisted of a high quality color pdf. The price was less than I would've paid through the National Archives and arrived far sooner.
