I'd heard of Gopher Records and was interested in trying it out. So I submitted a request for my great-great grandfather's Civil War records just to give the service a test. I already had a fair amount of information and just wanted to see what they might come up with. They came back with a treasure trove of previously unknown information about not only him but his through wife and family through the pension records. The process is quick and easy. Loved it and will definitely be using it again.

Great copies of the records. Better than the National Archives.

When the records became available I was notified and the records were all copied and sent to me in a timely manner. I was again notified and was able to copy the records on my computer and make hard copies. Everything was done as discussed in the original contact. I was very pleased with how it was handled and what I received.

I discovered Bob Voelke from a page on the National Archives website who was available for hire as a researcher (https://www.archives.gov/research/hire-help/locations?facility=washington-dc). I sent him an e-mail inquiry and he responded quickly. Once I ordered my requested record, I received it in short order.
