If you need Civil War Records quick for a project, This is the place you want to go. I used to do this kind of thing but I'm 71 and dont have the time or money for the Archives anymore. I used to get the military and pension records, Courts Martial records and other things from someone that lived in the National Archives area but his Military career took him elsewhere. I have used gopher records.com at least 4 times to get the Civil War records for ancestors. I am so pleased with their service; it is very fast and accurate. If I had to go through National Archives myself it would take much longer to get the records. You pay nothing until they find something. I was very pleased with the complete Pension file of 25 pages and the fast turnaround time. I told my Genealogy Writing group that meets by zoom every week about sending for them.
