I wanted to order records of my 2nd great grandfather's service. What Gopher found was not only his records, but the tale of a new wife and her subsequent husband and his service. Its more entertaining than a soap opera to read! I was so happy to receive it - he was super fast and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Very quick response to the request for my 2x gr grandfather's Civil War records. Their customer service sent lots of information concerning my request and the retrieval of the documents sent. They sent me over 50 pages of documents from the original signing up for service to his death many years later. I will definitely be submitting more requests for information about family members.

For years I have requested records via the National Archives. The records were expensive and wait time was long. The last record I requested was for select pages for a widow's pension, what I received was 2 pages. (I found more online). I heard about Gopher Records on a Civil War Facebook group. The records I requested from Gopher were pension and widow's pension records. What I received was beyond my expectations. The documents included the records for the widow's 2nd and 3rd husbands.
