I would highly recommend Gopher Records. I requested medical and service records for my great-great grandfather and his brother who served for the Union Army. I can only imagine embodying the experiences of my ancestors through what was revealed by using this service. To see handwritten letters that you know are authentic because you can recognize there signatures instinctively like as if you seen them write.To be able to analyze and place in order the events and actually experience a storyline from slavery through the civil war until the 40’s is timeless.
