I submitted my order just before Christmas and I didn't expect any response for weeks. But I received back my scanned file shortly after New Years. Despite the age of these documents the scans were clear and very readable. I am very happy with the result.

Bob does an amazing job getting the records accurately and quickly. Ive been able to break through some brick walls in my genealogy using these military records. I made the order on I believe New Year’s Eve and yesterday it said it was ready for when I paid. $50 seemed a little much at first but after seeing 68 pages outlining my 3rd great grandfathers civil war service and life made me quick to realize that it would be worth $75 if that was the price too! I will definitely be using this service again in the near future for my other two civil war direct ancestors and maybe even some indirect ancestors as well! 6/5 stars!

Gopher Records is awesome! The turn around time is very fast. When I received my pension record I was like a kid on Christmas morning! Because they found the record I needed, I was able to add a vital piece of information to my research. I'm sure I'll be using them again and again in the future.

I had first heard of Bob Velke and Gopher Records through the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. I contacted him, to see if he could locate a specific record concerning my Great Grandfather, who had served with the Iowa Cavalry during that conflict.
