I was very happy to learn about Gopher Records and how they often can locate more records than I have been able to online. They recently found pension records for two of my relatives and I so appreciate having these records! If you decide to have them get records for you, I would suggest you review all the helpful information they have on their website. It helped answer several questions I have had.

I have submitted two requests for pension files and have had the same excellent service for both. I have submitted online and in-person requests directly to NARA in the past and Gopher is night and day better. The submission process is a breeze. As a user I am kept informed of the progress via an online account and the results are available in days. The quality of the scans is top-notch (better than I would do myself, in-person).
