I was really impressed with the service I received from Gopher Records. I love that you can do a free records assessment and get an accurate quote of the price. I appreciate that they send the records electronically, so I don't need to scan a huge pile of paper. They were also much faster than going through the NARA. I recommend the service to other genealogy researchers.

This was an order related to my 1st order, concerning the father of those (5) brothers. The overall quality of the service and product from Gopher Records went far beyond my expectation! I placed a rather large order for Pension & CMSR files that consisted of (5) brothers serving in the Civil War and I probably complicated the order as one of the brothers had (5) different service records. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and product that Bob & Gopher Records delivered to me! Gopher Records had been recommended by Cyndi Ingle and Cari A Taplin, at a virtual course at GRIP this past summer and I wish I had known about Gopher Records before then! I will continue more reviewing on my next, 2nd Order.

I've used Gopher Records twice and it's so much better than the NARA. There's wonderful communication, Records retrieval is a few weeks instead of months, and the cost is reasonable. I request a digital copy and the pdf file is complete and readable.

I would like to recommend the use of Gopher Records for NARA retrieval. I used Bob to retrieve my civil war ancestor's medical cards. I knew that my ancestor had been shot in the knee and was curious what kind of medical records were available. I was impressed with the quick turn around to my request. Gopher records is amazing! Astonishingly fast service, an easy on-line ordering system, reasonable pricing, and very attentive customer service. The Land Entry Case Files I ordered (probably) confirmed a theory I have, and opened up some new questions...as these documents often do. It was great getting the answers weeks (or months) before I would have received them from NARA. Highly recommended!
