I wish I had found this service prior to ordering several records from NARA. Gopher was *much* faster than ordering directly from NARA. It took a matter of weeks to process my order, rather than months (to over a year) that it took to receive orders from NARA. The rates are also very reasonable. Gopher Records has been amazing. Turnaround times are much quicker than those provided by NARA for the same records and the prices are less expensive too. It's truly a win-win situation as a curious researcher. In addition, there is an actual person to speak to instead of the black-box we are stuck with when requesting records directly from NARA.
